The more I think,

the more I get quiet.

I want to be the person where another person needs to discover me.
I'm afraid of being let down and broken.
I want a new start, to be that new weird girl in school.
Not the one where everyone else knows who I am, in a bad way of course.
I go down the halls hearing "Hey Natalie" or "Hey chinese hoe" or "Chink"
I'm not asking for deathly stares, but just friends who will always be there.
One of my close friends, Natalie, is moving at the end of this year.
I've told her so much, but what will happen when she's gone?
Everyday at lunch, I sit with Erin and Kacey.
Why don't I have enough nerve to move and try somewhere else to sit?
Start new conversations instead of talking about others.
I'm tired of all the "Did you hear about....." and the "I don't like her hair.........."
Let's talk about our lives.
Yes, it may be boring, but it's a way to start getting a better, more exciting life.

As I was walking down the street to meet up with my friend, I noticed "Peace" and "Let's end war" bumper stickers on some cars.
This made me think.
Why is the country in war?
When friends are in a fight, they don't punch each other until one is dead,
Instead they talk things out about what happened and say sorry.
Move on with their lives.
In this country, Bush sends soldiers to other countries to kill them hoping to start a new government there this way.
How does that work?
Compare this to the fights I see everyday in the hallway.
I would much rather have a serious conversation with someone instead of bloody noses and broken bones.
Why doesn't anyone else seem to see this?

Next topic, Gay rights.
I am not bi-sexual or gay, but I believe these people deserve rights.
Why do states ban gay marriages?
I believe people are born this way, and they can't help themselves.
This doesn't mean we should deny them rights.
How would you like it if all people who are not white couldn't go certain places on certain days.
Technically, this is like slavery with everyone except for whites.
Straights vs. Homosexuals.
How unfair?
If we can marry the opposite sex with no problem, they can marry who they would life with no problem.

I am oh so proud of Barack Obama.

There's nothing wrong with homosexuals and gay marriages.

This is beautiful and true to me as well: "I want to be the person where another person needs to discover me."
